Photoshop test

I have been trying to find out new ways to colour on photoshop, just to get some variety. Then I started to play with textures, again.

I have realised that I kinda miss drawing very detailed stuff. For the past two years I have been trying to draw things as simple as possible because there's no room for unnecessary details when you are animating. But it does get very boring when you are drawing things in very simple way all the time. Even if you play with shapes to keep the drawing fresh and unique, it doesn't help.

I guess that drawing things in simple way isn't very natural for me. Hmm. Interesting..

Smirk

I have been painting some props for our puppet animation at my house. However, the paint's smell gives me a headache so I have to take breaks every 30 minutes. I would keep the window open but it's so cold outside. I guess I have to go to school to paint them because at least there's good air conditioning.

During my breaks I worked on this piece:

I listened Shinedown - Diamond Eyes and Phil Collin's A Day in Paradise while inking and colouring this. Now when I think about it, it was indeed a weird combination.

Man, that A Day in Paradise song really is hypnotic..

Humans!

I have no idea who Jane Lynch is. I just know that she was a guest on Conan's show

I know that the legs look too different compared to rest of her body but I like still it.

A girl that I saw on TV.

This time.. gray backgrounds!

My friend drew a great picture of me. I'm using it as my avatar right now! I also changed the titlecard on top.

I put watermark on my sketches just in case if they start to wander around the internet. At least people will know where they come from.

Everytime when I start a new sketchbook I have to draw a very detailed sketch in the first or second page. Because then I can draw bunch of more or less great sketches and never worry if they all look horrible because I will always have at least one good drawing. Silly, isn't it?

I really envy artists who can draw in public. So, I took a big step and forced myself to draw in a train. It was indeed a great accomplishment, except that I was the only one in the train.

A proud and yet tired looking lioness.

 Spooky bunny. Yes.
